Bronze School Games Mark Award

We are delighted to announce that last term Queen Victoria Primary School was awarded the Bronze School Games Mark Award and were very close to a silver, which we are hoping to gain this year.

The School Games Mark is a Government led award launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.

We have some exciting sports opportunities coming up this year.

Mrs Tichelly is running Gymnastics clubs for the children during Wednesday lunchtimes, we are hoping to send some Gymnasts to compete in a primary gymnastic competition in February at Earl’s Gymnastic Centre.

The Albion coach has started a cross country running club for children in years 5 and 6, we hope a lot of them will then wish to, and be able to, take part in the Dudley School cross country championships which normally takes place in March.

We have organised a friendly netball match vs Bramford Primary school next Tuesday 28th January for the netball team.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are running a football tournament at the start of February and there is also a girl’s football competition coming up very soon
