Year Five were lucky enough to be invited to The Grand Theatre, Wolverhampton, to watch an adaptation of Michael Morpurgo’s Running Wild. Before the performance the children took part in a puppet master class, where they learnt how puppets are made, including their movements and sounds. Two children were selected to make an Orang-utan puppet with the cast. We then watched the performance, where the children were immersed in sights and sounds of the Indonesian rain forest. Oona the elephant was amazing; the highly skilled puppeteers captured the movement and sound perfectly.
